It has been a while since I can use the battery to provide all the power for the headlights. Now, on a night boat trip, I need to power the camera, mobile phone, GPS, VHF, driving lights, weather broadcast and usually a small laptop. Some devices (such as my handheld depth sounder) can only be powered by one battery during cruising, but more commonly used devices (driving lights, smartphones or cameras) require spare batteries or recharge the batteries.

There is a 110V AC power socket on the side for charging the VHF radio. Vehicle inverters, their cooling fans and radio transformers all consume a lot of power. I plan to find a plug and a power cord to connect the charging base of the radio to the 12-volt power socket on the front of the device to bypass the inverter, which requires a lot of power.

In recent years, I have carried a 12-volt deep-cycle battery that has been connected to the cigarette lighter socket. It can charge devices equipped with a car charger well, but it is heavy, weighing up to 50 pounds, so it is usually used to make foam and canvas coverings to reduce toe impact. When I stumbled upon the SinKeu 100 portable power station, I quickly gave up the deep cycle and bought this small battery. The rated power of its lithium-ion battery pack is 146 watt-hours. If my calculation is correct, it will be 30% higher than my deep cycle battery. The power bank provides this capacity in a 7.3 x 4.3 x 6.5 inch package and weighs less than 3 pounds. The device has one port for 12 volt power supply, one port for charging with the included AC adapter or optional solar panel, and the other for powering electronic devices with the included cigarette lighter socket and power cord Port.

There are 2 USB-A ports. The LCD screen displays the input and output, and the percentage figure shows the power level and the remaining power percentage.

SinKeu 100 is not waterproof, so if it is carried on an open boat, it must be protected with a dry bag. It is not designed to withstand the effects of a fall, so treat it like an electronic product it is charging.

For the first trial of SinKeu 100, I charged my electronic devices for hiking on weekends. It uses 100% capacity, completely exhausted laptop battery, damaged VHF radio, four GoPro batteries (three 1,050 mAh, one 3,400 mAh), two DSLR batteries, a Bluetooth keyboard and a flashlight/power bank, The rear panel of a trailer has started to be charged. The remaining capacity of the camera and mobile phone is still 22%. It is recommended to charge when SinKeu 100 reaches 20%. If all goes well, SinKeu 100 can allow me to go on a three-day cruise, take a lot of photos and videos and write on my laptop at night.

After 5 days of use, I am still impressed with its performance, and it still has 90% of the remaining power. We do not use many power stations. When plugged into a power source for charging, the mobile phone accounts for about 50%.

Our family camps a lot, and I want to use it to charge our mobile phones. I still haven't fully committed to the concept of a portable power station, so I didn't want to spend too much money, so I bought this smaller power station.

I participated in a 3-day camping trip and used it to charge 5 mobile phones every night. The display shows that after 3 days of camping and use, the capacity of this portable power station is still 90%.
